Round 2 · Hero direction
Variation H2
Every child builds their own little superhero
Build-a-Hero
Each child picks a kid superhero who looks like a kid, and can look like them: curls, braids with beads, glasses, a hijab, an afro puff, or an animal buddy if they prefer. The cape colour becomes the child's own colour across the app: Sam's podium, Play button and screens are teal, Noor's are gold. The hero grows with them: known words move them from Rookie to Super to Mega hero. Grown-ups get two plain doors, and nothing outside a running game asks for a sum or PIN.

Your colour, everywhere

The cape colour is the child's colour: their podium, Play button, switcher chip, progress bars and screen accents. Brand purple stays for the app itself, so a grown-up always sees whose screen they're on.

First launch
Four benefit slides, each with its own picture and one concrete promise. “Get started” on every slide skips the rest.
Real words for real life
Apple, cup, dog, shoes… the everyday words your child needs, with real pictures.
Tiny steps, big wins
Each word goes from listening to finding to reading, one small step at a time. No rush, no timers.
Rewards they love
Stars fill up while they play. Then they pick a favourite video, and back to words.

Set up a child
Build a hero on one screen, then celebrate. No word-set step, no coach step, and still no age question.

3 tips for grown-ups
- Sit together the first time.
- Turn the sound on.
- Guided Access (iPhone) or screen pinning (Android) keeps them in the game.
One screen.
One tap.
Every field arrives filled in. A parent in a hurry taps Let's go and the child is playing seconds later.

Some children prefer animals. A buddy has no cape, so this tab shows one row of colour dots to pick the child's colour.
Every day
Kids tap their hero and play. Grown-ups get two doors and one settings sheet, in the child's own colour. No sum or PIN anywhere here.
